VNSA Nurse Resiliency Project
James Madison University’s Nursing Student Association took an exercise Zumba class on Wednesday January 27th for the VNSA Nursing Resiliency challenge. Several of the JMU NSA members spread awareness about burnout that is frequently seen in both nursing school and in nursing practice. JMU NSA is focusing on the use of exercise and healthy habits to beat nursing student fatigue as well as develop appropriate coping techniques.
The University of Virginia's NSA Chapter sponsored a dinner for individuals staying at UVA Health System's Hospitality House. Hospitality House serves as a close and convenient place for families whose loved ones are at UVA Hospital to stay. UVA NSA members spent time speaking with patients' families and learned about different ways that their NSA chapter can create a sustained relationship with this community.
