Excellence in Nursing Instruction
The Excellence in Nursing Instruction Award was created to recognize nursing instructors
who “go above and beyond” in creating an atmosphere of guided learning for students who
may be feeling stressed and/or confused, by providing total accessibility, and who are
willing to work with students who may be feeling overwhelmed at school. You can
download the nomination form here:
Excellence in Nursing Instruction
The recipient of this award typically is a tenured professor or an instructor at the
Masters or Doctorate level who has been teaching for many years, has held various
offices in their department, and consistently supports students through mentorship.
An endorsement by the Dean of the Instructor’s department adds weight to
nominations when multiple instructors are nominated for this award.
Recognition of our best instructors allows greater exposure of all students to
the VNSA’s core mission of promoting leadership. If you have questions about
this award nomination, please e-mail vnsapr@gmail.com for more information.
